Hindu epics like the Ramayana and the Mahabharatha are performed in Southeast Asian countries in various art forms like dance, dance-drama and shadow puppet theater. Even today in cities like Yogyakarta and Bali, once can find traces of Indian culture and traditions. AANIVERs introductory episode gives an overview of this interplay of Indian and Southeast Asian cultures in various art forms and traces its roots.
